As part of starting up Pangea Collection I've encountered the usual challenges in finding products and services that "fit" my wants and needs. I've been lucky to have a few referrals and found that this is one of the best ways of finding "the right fit". We women know how difficult it is to find that "fit" (and I'm not talking about a bathing suit). When we come across something that makes our lives a little easier, a little happier, we're eager to pass the news along. Of course we're also the first to spread the word about where not to spend your money, we respect each others time too much to waste it. This section has been created as a starting point to pass along some recommendations. I hope that this list will grow over time and will be contributed to by you as well. Company of Women In searching for a networking group, I discovered Company of Women. I must have reviewed around 20 other organisations. I chose Company of Women as I was impressed with the level of professionalism from the beginning. Anne Day has been extremely helpful and generous with her time and advice. Not to mention that the networking dinners are held at the lovely Verity Club. That's reason enough! Lindsey has a fresh, energetic approach to her profession. During the shooting of my portraiture her fun, lively personality allowed me to relax and make what feels egotistical, more natural. Plus she taught me a trick to save me from that double chin effect, thank god! She and her manager Sarah have were a pleasure to work with from the beginning of the project. As a small business my challenge was how to take beautiful, creative product photography while maintaining my budget. Lindsey came up with a solution right away that met my requirements.  Shelley Black – Senior Mortgage Consultant Shelley, in the interest of full disclosure, is my cousin, but more than that she's a really good friend and a great source for recommendations (I think she keeps a list). Shelley and her assistant Fran run a beautiful little mortgage brokerage business out of a boutique like shop in an old home. Shelley herself likes to think of her service as providing a boutique hotel feeling. Where else can you go for a mortgage and feel like you are a welcome guest in a home? Shelley and Fran take personal interest and pride in the work they do for their clients, you feel like a friend, because you become a friend. I've dropped in a few times to say hello and found a client having a social chat.

I have known Deb for about 15 years and she's one of those women you admire. She is incredibly bright, talented and efficient, while at the same time quite humble. Deb holds a Bachelors of Science from U of G and began her career working as a fisheries biologist before raising a family, starting a successful catering business and eventually moving into the Investment industry 8 years ago. If that isn't flexibility and talent, I'm not sure what is.
