Brazilian Ring

Brazilian Artisan Jewelry

Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Unique, exotic and beautiful, these pieces reflect the exuberance of the Brazilian culture. The rings are handcrafted using natural materials such as braúna wood and semi precious stones.

Brazil is the most mineral rich country in the world and is full of spiritual, healing energy. The handcrafted pieces in the Brazilian Collection are made with love to share with the world. The designers wish to encourage people when their burden is lifted, or they feel inspired, to pass these spiritual stones on to others. They want the stones to be useful and to ensure that they can be appreciated for their beauty and healing energy. They believe that many others will benefit from these blessed tokens and will keep the spirit of love and support moving.

Stone’s Healing Power For centuries stones have played an important role and have been used for healing. Each crystalline structure has its own individual energy and its own “personality”. Mineralogical structures, which contain more than one mineral, possess a melding of the energies of the minerals contained. Each can be used in unique ways to assist one in understanding the multi-faceted nature of existence. The consciousness of the planet is leading humanity to the rediscovery of an ancient and forgotten healing art in which the utilisation of crystals is prominent.

Disease and disorder in one’s life entail lessons, which will allow one to release the burdens of unconsciousness. While the healing process may be facilitated by the catalytic presence of many things, ultimately one must heal oneself. The experience of disease is a loss of connection to the universal source of perfection. The mineralogical kingdom has been used for centuries to act as catalysts and to assist one in becoming reunited with that source. Right intention during use of the mineral further stimulates the melding of ones personal energy with that of the mineral kingdom, furthering the propagation of the light, the love and the “good of all.”

“Use good judgement in making health decisions. As in life, there are no guarantees. Miracles do occur but only if it’s destined to be. When our time is up, we must go”. – A message from the Collection’s designer.

Crisopasio or Chalcedony
Chalcedony has been credited for stimulating sexuality and used for sexual diseases as well as for eyesight problems.

Chrysoprase or Chrysophase is a gemstone variety of Chalcedony (fibrous form of the quartz) that contains small quantities of nickel. Its colour is normally apple-green, but varies to deep green. It is cryptocrystalline, which means that it is composed of crystals so fine that they cannot be seen as distinct particles under normal magnification. This sets it apart from rock crystal, Amethyst, Citrine and other varieties of crystalline quartz which are basically transparent and formed from easily recognised six-sided crystals. Other members of the cryptocrystalline quartz family include Agate, Carnelian, and Onyx. Unlike many non-transparent members of the quartz family, it is the colour of crysoprase, rather than any pattern of markings, that makes it desirable. The word chrysoprase comes from the Greek chrysos meaning “gold” and prason, meaning “leek”.

Due to its comparative scarcity and pleasing green colour, chrysoprase is one of the most prized quartz varieties. Higher quality specimens often rival fine jade, for which it is sometimes mistaken. Cut into cabochons (smooth domed gems with flat backs for use in jewellery), it can be as sought after as fine Amethyst.

The best known sources of chrysoprase are Queensland, Western Australia, Germany, Poland, Russia, Arizona, California and Brazil.

Braúna Wood
The wood used in crafting the rings in this Collection is derived from demolition materials of the braúna tree. The braúna tree is growing in urban areas of Brazil as a result of preservationist activities.
