The first fair trade jewelry organisation is part of a network of South Indian social organisations involving particularly disadvantaged women. The fair trade jewelry organisation was founded by social workers who are striving to improve the livelihoods of isolated women and their children from the Chennai slum.

The fair trade jewelry organisation provides these women with resources and training to develop the necessary skills to craft these beautiful pieces of India jewelry.
